Beware of ickyness below!

Today in the shower I discovered a lump in my armpit. I didn't shave, therefore, and when I got out of the shower I looked at it in the mirror and squeezed it. A few hairs came out, and a big chunk of pussy stuff. There's still a lump, but since my skin welts so much, I think it might be just swollen. So I'll look at it again later in the day. Ick.

I'm tired of being sick.

This morning, I woke up at almost exactly 4:30. I blew my nose twice. I felt all sick and icky, like I'd been wiping my nose all night as I slept. Then I couldn't get back to sleep. I heard the paper deliverer person throw two papers on the porch and drive to the next house. I fell asleep wondering what the paper-delivering routes look like. I'm glad I didn't wake up an hour later, because then I wouldn't have bothered going back to sleep. This is the third night in a row (or fourth, something like that) since I've started waking up periodically throughout the night. I want to be unsick. (Granted, it's just a stuffy nose, it could be worse...)

I finished the sixth motif in my afghan this morning on the bus. I have 9 more to do. Then I can put it together. I'm hoping to finish it by the time we move, so I can put it in our new house. (I'm so excited!!!)

Bored, bored, bored.

I wish I had something constructive to do. Unfortunately, in shipping, someone has to be here at all times, just in case someone comes to the dock. Greg's off doing something in footwear, so I'm stuck back here. I'd crochet, but I got in trouble for it. But that's pretty much the only thing I can do. Surfing the internet is kinda boring when you've done it every day for the past two weeks and you're at work so if a page is questionable, you can't see it anyway. I wonder what the criteria is, because sometimes really random pages are locked.

Lunch

Wow. That was a damn good lunch. I had a tofu and vegetable sandwich on rosemary bread. Mmm. I need to eat more tofu. It's good for me AND yummy.

An hour alone in shipping makes for some interesting ways to keep busy. Today I went back in Cory's journal again and read some of the stuff that led up to us getting together, and read some of the stuff a few months afterwards. It really hasn't been that long since we started dating. Just 8 months and 1 day now. I rediscovered a friends-only post from December that proved what he's been reminding me of all the times we've talked about marriage: that he's wanted to marry me almost before I knew I wanted to marry him. We'd been together for two months at the time of that entry, and I know he'd thought about it long before he wrote it. I can't remember when I first knew, but it was pretty quickly, too. So now when I have a spare minute here and there, I think about what it will be like for a ring to have felt comfortable on my left hand for what seems like ever. What it'll be like when I first tell him I'm pregnant. What it'll feel like the first day all of our children are out of the house.

I think it'll feel good.
