Yesterday Cory called to book the Edgefield (we had that gift certificate from the best man) and they were SOLD OUT. So today I called Portland's White House B&B, and they were also SOLD OUT.
I just finished doing an online reservation for a King Deluxe room (hopefully it's in the corner? That's what the picture looks like...) but I don't feel better 'cause I've never reserved a hotel room online before and I don't know if I did it right. :)

And here's a plug: get AAA! Not only will you be let back into your car if you lock yourself out, but you also get $$ off hotel rooms (among other things)! The standard rate at the hotel is $175, and the AAA rate is fifty bucks off that! Whee!

(no subject)

One of my coworkers works in a 2-person department. She was busy when there were two people, but then her boss got fired, so she's been running the department for several weeks now. She sometimes comes down and asks me to help her out with shipping things and other odd jobs. One of my jobs was to send something to the Japan liaison office, which she filled out on an inter-office envelope as "to Yuria at the Japan offis."

Poor thing is so tired... but it was pretty funny!
