Mar. 13th, 2003 08:06 amI was just listening to the Mark and Brian show on KGON, and they said the average cost of a date in Portland is $84. This is for a rose, an "average dinner plus tip" (whatever that is), 2 drinks, movie tickets, and transportation.

girl_on_a_stick, Chicago was #2 with $128.
I want to know how a date can cost that much. I also want to know why you can't have a hiking date or a driving-around-aimlessly date or something cheap and more fun. I guess they didn't say anything about it being a "fun" date. :)
