This weekend I did almost nothing, while Cory worked. Well, I guess I did a fair amount - I finished the couch cover (put more ties on it so it wouldn't slide around) and did the papasan stool cover and Scotch-guarded all of it. And we watched Kurosawa's Seven Samurai - it was interesting. The commentary was helpful. :)
Yesterday I struck out for Salem. (My family members live too far away.) My aunt and her family moved into a new house across the street from Grandma, so I went and put shelf paper in the bathroom and went shopping for various odds and ends at Lowe's and tried to stay on my diet despite the temptation going on all around me (everybody had bread and potatoes and things, and I wanted some too!). Stace's house is bigger than her former one, and it's about 20 years old so it needs quite a bit of work. And everything's brown. It kinda reminded me of our old kitchen in SE Portland. It's still pretty dirty so they're trying to clean as they go, but I was informed that it looks SO much better than it did a couple of days ago.
And now I'm off to work. This Friday and next Monday and Tuesday I have to work for other people again. i'm about ready for it to be done.
