rini and I went to Yarn Garden in SE Portland today. I'm so used to Michael's and JoAnn Fabrics and Wal-Mart yarn sections that I was quite overwhelmed at all the choices (and prices! Eek!) of yarns! It was so very dangerous. :D And I felt very much out of my league, as I usually make my hats and scarves and things out of worsted weight or homespun or the like. But boy was it fun!! Too bad there's no yarn store in Corvallis. Or anywhere near where I live. (On second thought, maybe that's good, as I spent $45 on 5 skeins of yarn today!!)
