When I moved in to this place, I was happy about living where to the north there was a graveyard and to the west was an orchard. Seemed like it'd be pretty quiet, especially since the eastern wall was shared with another apartment which has been empty most of the time we've been in here. Well, half an hour ago as we were drifting off to sleep, some oompah music started playing really loud. I thought it was the guy who plays with his truck speakers when it's nice outside, and figured he'd turn them down (but I was also pissed that he'd do it at 11 at night) but Cory went out to investigate and found out it was coming from the orchard. The bass is overwhelming - I hear it unless I put my fingers in my ears, whether or not the window is open or there are pillows covering both ears. I can even hear it in here at times, with all the windows shut and both computers and the refrigerator running. And with me typing.
Cory called the police a couple of minutes ago. I think maybe they've fixed it. It'd be nice to be able to sleep, as I've got to be at work at 6:30am tomorrow.
EDIT: I fell asleep on the couch even though I could still hear it, and Cory woke me at 11:40 to bus me back to bed. He said he talked to the police officer - I was sleeping pretty deeply for only sleeping for 20 minutes! I don't know what happened - Cory's going to tell me this morning.
