Aug. 27th, 2004 11:18 amOK, so here's my reason for the word-association game (which almost nobody felt like playing, meanieheads) - I need to start making Christmas ornaments! My first idea was sushi ornaments, which kind of grew into sushi/eggroll/takeout box/fortune cookie ornaments based on the cat toys here.
But now I'm not sure I want to do the Japanese-food-themed ornaments. I was thinking something Oregon-themed, like Christmas umbrellas, too. :) But nothing is really motivating my creative juices. Last year I crocheted mitten ornaments and it took forever. The year before I crocheted and starched snowflakes. I've also done little angels out of toothpicks and feathers and embroidery floss.
I always have this problem and I always figure out a way around it, but I still thought I'd ask for opinions - if you can think of any interesting ornaments that you've seen made or that should be made, let me know. If I use your idea, I'll even send you one!
Edit: This is kind of a cute idea, maybe I'll think about doing something like that. Stars are fun.
Or I could do something like this picture here.
