Aug. 7th, 2005 06:24 pmHow can anybody function when it's this hot? I haven't accomplished anything today. I keep watching the 5-day forecast and it keeps getting hotter. I put a double layer of bedsheets across the front window and I don't know if it helped to keep the place cooler or not. And I ate too much today, too, so that makes me feel doubly icky.
So now it's almost 6:30 and I'm starting the whole "shoot, I haven't accomplished anything" thoughts that I usually think on Sundays. Oy.
We did accomplish something, though. We went to the South Valley Kennels to check the place out and see if we liked it. We didn't. They're kept in their little kennels (well, they have maybe a 10x10 fenced area each) for their entire stay. The guy who came out to talk to us mentioned a monthly rate - I can't imagine poor dogs staying there for a whole month! In the end we decided an extra $20 for Corvallis Kennels wouldn't be too much more to pay for Remmy to get some attention during her ten days away from home.
Cory did some studying at Starbucks this afternoon while I stayed home to watch Bride & Prejudice, a Bollywood-ish movie based on the Jane Austin novel of similar name.
