Argh.

I used to set my alarm for 5:30. In my sleep, I would push the snooze button until 6:02 on the nose. But I have to leave for work at 7:30 or so, so I wanted to be able to have a bit more time in the mornings, mostly to go for a walk. So I reset my alarm for 5:00, thinking maybe that would give me an extra half-hour. No dice. Now in my sleep I snooze for a bit, wake up most of the way, turn it off, think to myself "OK, I'm awake, now I'll sit here for a sec and then get up," fall back asleep and wake up at 6:44. Which leaves me no time to walk.

I know what I'm going to have to do. I'm going to have to put the clock across the room. For some reason, though, I dread it. Even though I really want to get up early, I apparently don't want it enough to move the freaking clock. Maybe I'll try it and see how annoying it is. (Cory tried that by putting his on the floor a few feet from the bed. He'd crawl out of bed, turn it off, crawl back in and go back to sleep. I can see myself doing that too.)
