Waaaaay back in 1997 Cory bought a Kenmore vacuum cleaner at Sears so that he and his girlfriend could clean up all of puppy Remmy's hair. It has lasted quite a long time, but I finally got tired of changing the belt every couple of months and having to deal with the attachments falling off the hose while I was trying to vacuum. Today I was vacuuming and in about a minute it started stinking like burnt hose, so I gave up and went to Amazon. First I looked at Dyson, because I like the design and figured I might as well get a super good one. But then I realized if I ever needed replacement parts I'd have to search for a place to buy them, which was pretty much what we were doing with the Kenmore - we had to go to Sears every time we needed new bags or belts. So I looked for what had the best reviews for closer to $100. It didn't take me long to find one - the Bissell Momentum 3910. I've never had a bagless before, and have always had one that isn't very powerful. Turns out KMart had one so I ran over there (much better than going all the way to Albany - KMart is only like a mile away) and picked one up. I just had a ton of fun vacuuming! It was neat to see how much junk was in there. And because the beater brush is so strong I barely had to push it - it took more muscle to pull it back towards me.

So now the carpet is extra clean. It'll make me feel better about lying on the floor in the evenings with Trout.
