Today is Friday. The week went by pretty quickly, but the days went by slowly. Does that make sense?

Today I'm working Donnita's shift 'cause she's doing her taxes. I'm kind of excited to have most of the day to myself, because she's been bothering me lately. Same with the gluttonous receptionist at the front desk. I just need to crawl in a hole and bring all my friends with me and live there for the rest of my life.

Today is burninggirl's birthday. I hope she has a good day.

Today is Friday the 13th. Tomorrow is Valentine's day. I made something for Cory but it's not huge and that's OK because we don't have much money and we don't want to make a big deal out of V-day.

Today had better be done soon. And sunny, 'cause I'll finally have some time to bask in it since I'll be done at 2:30 instead of 4:30.

It amuses me when people explain themselves to keep from being embarrassed, or because they're doing something they don't usually do (or don't want me to think they usually do). Does that make sense? Like today, an exec came in to grab his newspaper (we usually deliver them), and he told me that it was because someone emailed him and told him to read an interesting story in it. And the other day we were in the frozen foods section behind a lady with a cart, and when she got to the end of the aisle she made a huge swooping 180 with her cart to go back the other way without looking around her first. We backed up and she said "I have to go the other way now." I smiled at her and we kept going, and so did she: "I was just hoping nobody would be behind me when I did that."
