Aug. 24th, 2005 07:36 amI actually had free time during work yesterday. It was quite nice. Today is my last day of relative calm before I move to Courtney's desk and am busier, and then next Monday-Wednesday I have to do both jobs at the same time, and then Thursday-Friday I have to train the new guy who's taking my place. And then VACATION. Yay.
In the evening, after dinner, Cory and I took a walk down to the police station in search of noise ordinance brochures. They were closed, so we tried the library, which didn't have any, and then we decided to go to Borders so Cory could find some Economics books. We ended up spending awhile there, drinking coffee and looking at San Francisco books. We got this guide to SF and a Streetwise map which uses purple for water instead of blue. That'll be our car map for when we drive to places like the zoo and Chinatown and stuff.
Then Cory read by candlelight in bed while I fell asleep, and then woke up a little later because I'd gotten up and shook the curtains. Apparently there were bugs in the curtain folds. I'd been watching a show about exterminators on the Discovery Channel right before bed, so I think I know where that dream came from.
And then this morning I ran two sets of 8 minutes with a 5 minute walk in-between. Tonight is yoga and Friday is the run I'm not looking forward to - 20 minutes straight. I can DO IT! WOO!
