I'm annoyed at brides who are 18 and are getting married in 2006 and are already registered. I'm annoyed at brides who do things differently just because they want to look like they're doing things differently. I'm annoyed at brides who're settling for whoever they can get and are getting married just because they got tired of waiting and they want a wedding NOW. I'm annoyed at brides who still expect their parents to pay for their tuition even after they get married. I'm annoyed at brides who make a wedding community based on being open-minded and tolerant, and yet the thing they talk about most is all the flame wars on "that OTHER wedding community" and how much they hate "that OTHER wedding community" and how they want to be different, not realizing they're just like everybody else. I'm annoyed at brides who have 11 days left and start getting stressed out and uptight and annoyed at everything. (That'd be me.)

i think your annoyances are more than justified and go easy on yourself... I'm sure you'd be nearly as irritated by all the crap in the communities even if you had 11 years left.

Oh and good news- I CAN come to your party after all :-) (If you'll still have me).

Yay! Now we'll have SIX people there! :D

Yeah, I probably would be irritated at that stuff. But I'm irritated at a bunch of non-weddingplans/antibride stuff too. :)

dang. now I have to figure out what do get you.
What would you like?

You'll be ok, you're almost done! You're organized, you're on top of things, in control. It'll be great :-)

hehehe. She'd HATE that.
Perhaps I'll go buy her something from Spartacus, one of her favorite Portland stores ;-)

I haven't gotten any lingerie yet! I don't know if that's a good thing or not. :)

i haven't gotten any lingerie yet and I'm sort of hoping I don't... Perhaps it's a tradition that's gone out of style? That would be ok with me I think!

I think I can come up with some nice small gift for your shower, it is a shower after all!

I think I wouldn't mind it either if that tradition is on its way out. I'd rather buy something that flatters me and that my fiance'd like, not some huge pink flowery thing that you think my fiance'd like. And I'd rather you not sit and wonder what would turn my fiance on, thank you very much!

I already got a teapot from you! That's all I need! Or you could lend me some of your sanity for a bit. EVERYTHING is making me upset right now. I had a stupid consumer getting mad at me earlier because he couldn't get through to customer service. Well, duh, there are TWO PEOPLE in customer service, and they're not going to jump to talk to you just because you called long distance!

Is this the one I'm going to? When is it? What am I supposed to get you? A frame? heh

Yes. Thursday night before the wedding. A frame sounds good. Or something else if you'd rather. Whatever.

I bet those brides that are 18 and getting married in 2006, don't get married!!

I hope not! I swear, she baffles me. She knows where the ceremony and reception and rehearsal dinner are, she knows what her dress will be and his tux and the bridal party's outfits, she knows where they're going on their honeymoon, and she's registered at FIVE DIFFERENT PLACES, including Tiffany's!! As the kids say these days, what the fuck?!

I got annoyed at the whole thing. So now I just watch "a wedding story" on TV. I have 26 days, and I am right with ya. It does do something to your sanity.

It really does, even if you try your hardest not to let it!
